I wanted a laptop as a backup for my desk and do not need the full functionality of a laptop computer complete, but more than a netbook. Even if I have an impact week ($ 399 Best Buy), I spent a long time to decide if I want to keep it because I have a limit of 2 weeks. It is much faster than my desktop, including access to the Internet. Windows 7 is a learning curve has been frustrating (a user XP great), while in a hurry to try to access the features of the home network, etc. SomeToshiba utilities are useful for finding patterns before Win7 to find. The system has performed very well until a couple of crashes while you are using Internet Explorer 8 looks ok for a restart. The touchpad has something to read and adaptation (both computers and me) to use the functions. The scroll function is nice, but for some reason does not work on all windows, but clicking on the scroll bar appears that works well at home. Actually it was 3 USB ports (one is ashared eSATA / USB, I had not realized, if he had not spoken saleman.

Now for the surprises … The system comes with only a small printed booklet for further instructions. Toshiba offers an online manual is helpful, but it provides no help in actually setting up wireless, make sure it is protected with WEP, or register a home network. In addition to the speakers, it sounds like a cheap toy Childs, the volume (at max "wheel" of recruitment and selection of 100% control of the sound), rather than the music, YouTube, etc. I read the reviews on the quantity and bad sound quality, but thought it could not really bad ….. But it is even worse than described. Sound through the headphones / phones is OK, if you do not mind bearing with the laptop.

Acer Aspire Timeline AS5810TZ-4274 15.6-Inch Laptop – 8+ Hours Battery Life Review

I have my Acer Aspire 5810TZ (history of the series) for about 2-3 months. Frankly, I was on a budget, so I can opt for a Vaio or XPS. Ultimately, I want almost everything about this notebook. I know it's out of the box, not so long, but so far has been fantastic! The only drawback is that the keyboard is a magnet for dust! Everything else is solid, only the optical transmission and the chicklet style keyboard seems a bit 'touchy. Hardware-wise, it's amazing! It 'simple, but powerful enough torun on the Quake 3 engine games and multiple programs simultaneously. I am also a photographer and we should say a MacBook Pro (like all -______-), but I can do photo-editing (Lightroom and / or PS), the equally smooth and free lay on my 5810TZ.

But the deal-breaker for me was the fact that it may be) extremely thin (5.3 pounds = Portability and very beautiful: i) that has four USB ports .. a great advantage for me! The Orange / blue LED behind the right of the touchpad (upperCard reader), all finished the look, 5810TZ Slim sexy. And other features such as 8 hours (I use heavy graphics software, I usually get about 5-6, but never mind, because I rarely leave my place without its charger), 16:9 LED Screen = FULL screen movies and Detailed graphics .. could be greater if (and thermal cooling one of the best I've ever seen!) .. The laptop is never hot. The background is a bit 'in her warm but never hot. And freshnessis that you can hear the work .. Feels the air caused by the hot springs at the sides .. something beautiful:)

Total .. I love this laptop. There was no better than those of the Micro Center in Rockville, MD $ 500. Well .. It 'was a Toshiba and HP with better properties / hardware for $ 500, but they are fat, ugly and heavy. Our advice: Many commentators like / tend to be more critical than is necessary. For example, people say that the computer only very slowly. Wrong. Using Pentium processors, the latest in technologyProgress until the duo occurred kernel. Not lower the expectations of others just because you want the best know only too well that there is more than enough to do the work in order to do the job. Until you fill the cell with the junk and scan from time to time you will be completely satisfied. Well, unless you're not a player .. It belongs to others: this is not a gaming platform. I could not play America's Army at all! Call of Duty (the first) was great! Halo: CombatEvolved was good, not great. Soo .. Haha Just a word of advice.

I've done before 3 days are beautiful and very satisfied satisfied with your purchase. The weight of the design is beautiful, and so my old laptop to light.

As others have mentioned, the mouse buttons are rather poor quality, but everything else met my expectations. I'm not a player, who was not my policy, but I must say that the screen is beautiful.

I do not want a Windows user, just that I also work from home, but I'm installing on Ubuntu in dual boot. ISuccess is my review after Christmas.

New in Windows 7, Jump Lists take you right to the documents, pictures, songs, or websites you turn to each day. To open a Jump List, just right-click a program icon on the Windows 7 taskbar.
